Privacy Notice

How we handle your personal information.

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This notice explains, in plain English, what personal information ProTrade Web Building collects through this website, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

ProTrade Web Building designs and builds websites for UK tradespeople. “We”, “us” and “our” mean ProTrade Web Building.

ProTrade Web Building is the trading name of Almog Garavelas, a sole trader, of 40 Woodland Way, London NW7 2JR, United Kingdom. Almog Garavelas, trading as ProTrade Web Building, is the data controller of the personal information described here.

Contact for anything about your data: hello@protradewebbuilding.com.

What we collect

  • Quote form: your name, business name, email address, phone number, type of trade and anything you write in your message. We also record the date and time you sent it and the country your connection came from (worked out by our hosting provider from your IP address). We do not store your full IP address with your enquiry.
  • Emails: anything you send us by email.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver this website and protect it from abuse.

How the quote form works

When you send the quote form, your enquiry is saved in a private storage area (Cloudflare Workers KV) in our own Cloudflare account. It is not sent by email, and we do not use any third-party form service. Only we can read saved enquiries. Each enquiry is deleted automatically 365 days after you send it, or sooner if you ask us.

The forms on our demo websites (under /demos/) are for show only. Anything typed into them is checked and then discarded. It is never stored or sent to anyone.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To build, host and support your website if you become a customer. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • To keep business and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • To keep this website secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Who processes it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the quote form and stores quote enquiries.
  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365, provided through GoDaddy) provides our business email, so it holds any emails you send us.

These providers only process your information on our instructions. Some of them may process data outside the UK, for example in the EU or US. Where that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the safeguards the provider offers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Quote form enquiries: deleted automatically 365 days after you send them.
  • Emails from people who do not become customers: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer records: 6 years after our work together ends, for accounting and legal reasons.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email hello@protradewebbuilding.com. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
